The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals)(England) Regulations 2018

Visitors to Ark Education Barn can rest assured that all our animals are given the highest standards of care.

We are fully licensed by Ribble Valley Borough Council to keep and train animals in the course of our business activities for the purpose of education.

All of our animals are kept and handled to the highest welfare standards at all times and their welfare is constantly assessed by Melissa (Veterinary Nurse) and Sean (Veterinary Surgeon).

Under the legal remit of ‘The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals)(England) Regulations 2018’ animals being used in the course of a business activity are required to display their licence (see below).
