A variety of services are offered at Ark Education Barn. In order that every participant gets the most out of their visit we limit the number of participants to a maximum of 12 at any one time.

Fun education sessions in animal welfare and husbandry

Sessions are designed for participants to have fun in a controlled environment around the animals. Other activities such as feeding lambs (seasonal), seed planting, drawing, etc are available as required.

These sessions are designed for mainstream education, SEN and home educated children.

We are flexible on the times we can offer education sessions although generally sessions are held between 10:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 10:30am – 12:00 Saturday. Each session lasts 90 minutes at a cost of £12:50/participant. Please call Melissa (07976596483) to discuss your requirements.

Block bookings up to a maximum of 12 participants can be made at a discounted rate. Bookings with 8 participants or more can benefit from a discounted rate of £10:00/participant.

Birthday Parties

Birthday parties with a variety of animal activities up to a maximum of 12 children. We do not offer food or refreshments at Ark Education Barn but Parents are welcome to make their own arrangements for providing food and drink to enjoy on site after contact with our animals has concluded.

Animal Phobias

For those with animal phobias who require a slow and gradual introduction to animal contact will be given one:one attention, 90 minutes per session at a cost of £15:00/session.

GCSE & A Level students.

These sessions are aimed at students who are intending to enter into animal related professions including Veterinary Science. The sessions look at comparative anatomy of 4 animal categories – Horses, Goats/Sheep, Alpaca and Poultry. A 5th session looks at basic physiology and digestion. Each session lasts 2 hours at a cost of £17:50/participant. All 5 sessions can be booked at a discounted cost of £75/participant. These sessions are held 2:00pm – 4:00pm on consecutive Saturdays.
