We are a care farm business providing opportunities for SEND children to engage with a variety of animals in a safe farm setting.
Children coming to our Barn are given the opportunity to develop life skills and understand animal welfare, husbandry, agriculture and horticulture. We have full disabled facilities including a changing table and hoist to ensure children of all abilities can take part in all the activities we have to offer.
Due to being based within an agricultural barn in exposed countryside, the wet and windy weather in winter creates more of a challenge for those with special needs. Consequently we have a need to develop an area which allows disabled access to a warm, safe place where our SEND visitors can take shelter as well as continuing to learn life skills such as cooking and crafting.
We are raising funds to assist in the provision of a Shepherds Hut with disabled access which will provide the warm environment we need in winter as well as a kitchen type environment in the summer.
