A variety of services are offered at Ark Education Barn. In order that every participant gets the most out of their visit we limit the number of participants to a maximum of 12 at any one time.
Fun education sessions in animal welfare and husbandry
Sessions are designed for participants to have fun in a controlled environment around the animals. Other activities such as feeding lambs (seasonal), seed planting, drawing, etc are available as required.
These sessions are designed for mainstream education, SEN and home educated children.
We are flexible on the times we can offer education sessions although generally sessions are held between 10:30am – 6:00pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10:30am – 12:00 Saturday. Each session last for 2 hours and costs vary from £20 – £120 depending upon your requirements and your group size (1 child upto 12 children). Block bookings up to a maximum of 12 participants can be made at a discounted rate. Bookings with 8 participants or more can benefit from a discounted rate of £10 per participant.
Animal Phobias
For those with animal phobias who require a slow and gradual introduction to animal contact will be given one-to-one attention, 90 minutes per session at a cost of £15 per session.
